Bevel

Add bevel modifier to your objects with the Bevel operator.

Basic Usage

  1. Select one or more objects
  2. Press B to add bevel modifier
  3. Adjust offset by moving the mouse
  4. Press S to switch to segments mode
  5. Scroll wheel to adjust segment count
  6. Click to confirm or right-click to cancel

Alternative Bevels

  • Standard Bevel: Press B to add or modify standard bevel modifier Bisect
  • Pinned Bevel: Press Ctrl+B to add pinned bevel modifier Bisect

Parameters

Width

  • Description: Controls the width of the bevel from the original edge
  • Range: 0.0 to unlimited
  • Default: 0.1
  • Effect: Larger values create wider bevels

Width Type

  • Description: Method for calculating bevel width
  • Options:
    • OFFSET: Offset the bevel width (default)
    • WIDTH: Set the bevel width
    • PERCENT: Set the bevel width in percent
    • DEPTH: Set the bevel depth
    • ABSOLUTE: Set the bevel width in absolute units
  • Default: OFFSET

Segments

  • Description: Number of subdivisions in the bevel profile
  • Range: 1 to 32
  • Default: 1
  • Effect: Higher values create smoother, more rounded bevels

Limit Method

  • Description: Method for limiting which edges get beveled
  • Options:
    • NONE: No limit
    • ANGLE: Limit by angle (default)
    • WEIGHT: Limit by weight
    • VGROUP: Limit by vertex group
  • Default: ANGLE

Angle Limit

  • Description: Maximum angle between faces for beveling (when Limit Method is ANGLE)
  • Range: 0° to 180°
  • Default: 30° (0.523599 radians)
  • Effect: Only edges with angles less than this value will be beveled

Clamp Overlap

  • Description: Prevents bevel geometry from overlapping
  • Type: Boolean
  • Default: False
  • Effect: Limits bevel width to prevent self-intersections

Loop Slide

  • Description: Preserves edge flow by sliding along adjacent edges
  • Type: Boolean
  • Default: False
  • Effect: Maintains even bevel width along curved surfaces

Harden Normals

  • Description: Adjusts vertex normals to maintain sharp shading
  • Type: Boolean
  • Default: True
  • Effect: Preserves the appearance of hard edges after beveling

Bevel Types

Standard Bevel

  • Applies bevel modifier directly to the object
  • Suitable for standard bevel workflow
  • Picks and adjust all existing bevel modifiers for objects

Pinned Bevel

  • Creates a pined bevel modifier
  • Used for small bevel finish around he sharp edges
